1. Ownership Documentation
• Provide the vessel title or registration.
• Ensure all ownership paperwork is current and signed where required.
• Supply any liens or release-of-lien documentation if applicable.
2. Personal Belongings
Remove all personal items from the vessel, including:
• Electronics
• Fishing gear
• Clothing and safety equipment
• Tools and spare parts
Check storage compartments, cabins, lockers, and hatches thoroughly.
3. Hazardous Materials
• Drain or remove fuel from tanks
• Remove engine oil, coolant, and other fluids unless instructed otherwise.
• Dispose of or remove batteries, fire extinguishers, and propane tanks.
4. Electronics & Accessories
• Remove any electronics you want to keep (GPS, radios, speakers, etc.).
• Remove removable accessories such as canvas, cushions, or coolers.
5. Keys and Access
• Provide all keys needed for access to compartments, cabins, and ignition.
• Clearly label the keys if multiple locks or hatches exist.
6. Site Access for Pickup
• Confirm the boat is accessible for loading (marina, yard, driveway, etc.).
• Ensure there are no obstructions preventing trailer access.
• Notify the marina or property owner of the scheduled pickup, if required.
7. Final Confirmation
• Confirm disposal service date and time with S&J Marine Services.
• Provide all necessary contact information for day-of pickup.
• Verify any additional fees or required documentation in advance.
